Setting the Pace For 2014

2014aDoes anyone else feel that nowadays years seems to go by faster? Remember when you were younger, Christmas took forever to come. Now, no sooner have you put away the Christmas tree, than you put it up again! Time just seems to vanish and it doesn’t come back. Nevertheless, I have discovered that God’s mercies begin afresh every morning. (Lamentations 3:23NLT) The mercies of God are new every morning. Think about that! Every morning you wake up, irrespective of how you may look or feel, His mercies toward you are new. For that reason, I write today to uplift someone’s spirit.

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. – Isaiah 60:1-2KJV

As you enter the New Year, know that it is light that makes one shine – not luck. Jesus is the light of this world. In John 8:12KJV He said, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” I urge you to get connected to Jesus, follow Him and set the pace for 2014.

Light is the flight that takes man to the top. When you operate by the revealed Word of God, you’ll be operating in the light and there is no way you can remain at the bottom. You may be wondering: What has following Jesus got to do with the Word and the light? Here’s what.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. – John 1:1-9KJV

Light provides direction
The Lord Himself will show you the way to go.
You will not stumble and your foot will not dash against a stone like in the past years because the light of the Lord will guide you!

Light brings dominion
Regardless of how gross the darkness might be, a little match…a small candle can still be seen and cannot be denied.
You will have dominion over every failure of the past years because of the light of the Lord!

Light brings speed
The brighter the headlights the faster your car moves in the night.
You will have clarity of vision and enjoy speed like the prophet Elijah even when the sky grows black with clouds and wind, and there are heavy showers because of the light of the Lord!

Faithful is He who has called you into a new year and He will do it!

Happy New Year!
