A demon is not a toy

I’m sitting here thinking… a Christian has no business toying with his enemy. The enemy never shows you the big picture because if he did, I’m guessing no one would entertain him. He doesn’t show up wild and scary, because he did, no one would embrace him. What we must be aware of is that even when he comes wearing Prada, driving a Lamborghini Veneno, smelling like Clive Christian Perfume… he has one mission: to steal and kill and destroy.

A Pastor was praying for a man possessed with demon. He said, “In the name of Jesus, what do u want from this man? Speak up before I cast you out this moment!” The demon answered, “I want him to win the America lotto draw worth $200billion tonight.” The pastor lowered the microphone and whispered, “Get out of him and enter into me.”

Jesus has given us authority photo: Jesus has given us authority praisethelord.jpgA demon is a demon regardless of how enticing or tempting it might appear. Beloved Believer, a demon should, ought, must be cast out with no apology, remorse or excuse! Remember, you have been given the authority to do exactly that.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour – and if you give him access, he will exceed his boundaries.

On this subject, the following scriptures inspire me greatly:

  • The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. – John 10:10
  • Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. – 1 Peter 5:8
  • …and do not give the devil an opportunity. – Ephesians 4:7
  • Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. – James 4:7
  • These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name… – Mark 16:17
